Dotted Aztec Nails

Today I re-did my previous attempt at Aztec Nails! My sister recently ordered Nail Dotting Tools from China, so I decided to take advantage of it. It took about 40 minutes to do this tutorial, only because between each step I waited until the polish was dry.

Here are the colors I used:
– “Mint Sorbet” by Sally Hansen
– “British Racing Green” by Butter
– “Lightening” by Sally Hansen
– “Gold” by Ulta
– “Lopez Canyon” by American Apparel
– Black and White detail nail polish

Step 1: Paint your base color, I used mint.

Step 2: Paint a triangle of another color onto the tips of your nails. I used Lopez Canyon (burnt orange).

Step 3: With the black detail polish, paint a thin line between the edge of the mint and the orange.

Step 4: With the white detail pen, draw a smaller white triangle shape over the orange. Mimicking the same shape from the black line.

Step 5: Make a small dot (puddle) of yellow polish. With your nail dotting tool, make a angled line of 5 yellow dots under the black line.

Step 6: Repeat that same step with dark green. This time, dot the line under the yellow.

Step 7: Repeat the same step once more. This final time, use gold and put the line between the black and white detail “triangles.”

Ta da!
