This weekend I discovered some amazing thrift-store-finds! While on the hunt for a cowboy-padre-style hat, inspired by this one from Free People, and on my bi-weekly trip to the local thrift store, I got 3 amazing Fall pieces. The first is a blue plaid button up, and although I now have 6 plaid button ups, this one is different (I know, I know – but it was only $4!). I love this shirt because when it is styled differently, it is great for all seasons. I will be wearing this with jeans, leather, and under sweaters with the collar poking out. Similarly, this shirt is from J.Crew for $60.
Second, is a floor-length maxi cardigan. This is a knit, Free People cardigan worth around $168, and I scored it for $9. I can’t wait to wear this with an aztec printed skirt, boots, tights, and a blouse! Right now a similar lace cardigan is at Free People for $198.
Lastly, is the hat! A friend of mine, Chelsea, took me to the Cowtown Mall this Sunday for the first time! It is comparable to a giant flea-market-like indoor garage sale with different vendors and items ranging from vintage clothes to furniture. I have been looking for a hat like this for quite some time now. Inspired by this Free People hat and a Running with Heels blog post, I found a great hat for $20 and bargained it down to $15.
