Perks of Being a…

While this week was full of school work, The Perks of Being A Wallflower has ironically kept me from going insane. Finishing the life-changing book late Sunday night with a cup of tea, and beginning the weekend by smuggling Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Covered Almonds into the movie, was what I needed to let the tears pour and re-ground myself for the upcoming busy week. Next week NaNoReNo begins. NaNoReNo is when during the month of November, stand-alone writers and sometimes groups spend 30 days developing a “full visual” novel. The goal is to start at midnight November 1st and write 50,000 words by November 30th at 11:59pm. It has grown across America, and books like Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen (one of my personal favorites) have come out of it. I will be attempting to achieve the goal of 50,000. Although I am honestly not striving or expecting to achieve this goal – I love the idea of a supportive community of writers-helping-writers, and look forward to the experience.

Have a lovely weekend.
