Tonight at my BP Nordstrom Fashion Board Meeting we are doing a holiday cookie exchange and playing “dress-up” in the BP department! I am so excited to sample some delish holiday treats as well as exchange my “never fail fudge.” If you would like to make your own Never Fail Fudge, click here. P.S. I made mine without the nuts.
During the cookie exchange, we are also exchanging recipes! We all know how I will jump at any opportunity to make something a little more personal, so I made 20 little recipe cards. Below are the steps that I followed I create these little packages of love.
– Black Sharpie
– White gel pen
– Baker’s twine
– Washi tape
– Recipe cards
Step 1: Cut the recipe card into a rectangle. Then fold it in half.
Step 2: On the “open side” of the fold, fold the paper about 1/2 inch in. Then secure it with a small piece of washi tape.
Step 3: With the Sharpie, scribble out two “block” shapes, one above the other. Then with the white gel pen, I wrote the name of the recipe and added a little star.
Step 4: With the baker’s twine, tie a small bow and place it on top of the washi tape.
Step 5: Cut a small, thin, piece of washi tape, and then tape down the bow.
Ta da! This card can be used to send post through the mail or even send secret love letters! Xo.
