KC
Food:
  • Lunch/Dinner:
    • Korma Sutra Indian Cuisine – for the full dining experience, go to the location on the corner of College & Metcalf
    • Westport Local – in Westport, no website. Local & yummy. Earthy-upscale environment.
    • Pizzabella – wood-fired delicious pizza. Fun fact, I used to be a hostess here.
    • Port Fonda – spicy delicious Mexican food. Young, hip environment
    • Sama Zama – modern Japanese grill. I recommend the Modan Yaki
    • Füd – organic & vegan, CASH ONLY, prepare to eat your meal on “hippie time”
    • Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange – upscale gourmet restaurant with bar downstairs. One of KC’s finest.
    • Saigon 39 – Vietnamese café. I’m pretty sure they are closed at random hours so call ahead.
    • Lidia’s – Most amazing Italian I’ve had in my life. My family reserves Lidia’s for birthdays or special occasions.
    • North – upscale Italian, reasonably priced, and can be casual or fancy. Great setting for dinner with friends.
    • Spin! Neapolitan Pizza – quick, yummy, and easy pizza! Great yummy food if you need a quick bite. Family friendly.
    • BRGR Kitchen + Bar – fantastic burgers, salads, sweet potato fries, and soft pretzels. Super yummy and fun.
    • Cafe Trio – a regular spot for my family. On the fancier side. Absolutely delicious food.
    • Joe’s Kansas City BBQ – everyone’s favorite KC BBQ!!! Get a slab or pork ribs.
  • Breakfast:
    • Chez Elle – crêperie and coffee house! Cute and yummy! I recommend the Pollo Verde or Au Chocolat crêpes.
    • Succotash – supports local farmers and vendors. Great environment for brunch. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid.
    • Westport Cafe & Bar – My favorite brunch spot in KC. Very NY-esque. Free drink with brunch entrée! I get a virgin belini.
    • Genessee Royale Bistro – cute spot in the West Bottoms. Get the bacon marmalade with toast.
    • Coffee Girls Cafe – I frequent Coffee Girls because of their yummy juices and Tomato Basil Bagel
    • Urban Table – I recommend their brunch on the weekends only.
  • Dessert:
  • Coffee & Snacks:
    • Tea Drops – has a tea room and serves Bubble Tea/Boba
    • Little Freshie – great coffee but known for their homemade simple syrups for snow cones and sodas!
    • The Filling Station – MY FAVORITE CHAI TEA LATTE. They also have a great lunch menu.
    • Second Best Coffee – they literally have the best coffee.
    • Quay Coffee – located in the River Market, this is a hipster’s dream. Really cute people get coffee here.
    • T. loft – I go to T. Loft often for a juice/smoothie and to get peanut butter balls as a snack! My favorite smoothie is the Cucumberr Cooler. Also, all of their food is gluten free and super yummy!
