As you know, Memorial Day Weekend sales are always amazinggg. Since I usually spend all summer at camp, most of my summer-wear is pretty ratty; so my main goal was to get some tank tops and summer clothes that aren’t pieces of shit. I scored clothes for great deals from Topshop to thrift shop.
Chloe and I started early on Thursday at our Topshop inside of Nordstrom – thank god they carry Topshop now – and I luckily found a plaid dress which I have been wanting for a while. There, I also got a fantastic black tank top (which I have already worn twice) that has a unique triangle cut out on the chest. Across the street is a Nordstrom Rack (heaven) and there I scored the exact pair of Birkenstocks that I have been wanting! The shopping gods were shining down on me ;)
Next, we went to Standard Style. I have been wanting a pair of Baldwin shorts for almost 2 years, and this weekend…they were half off. They come in light grey and black, are the perfect length, and can be dressed up or down. Obviously, I chose black. On national holidays my favorite thrift shop, Savers, has a store-wide 50% off sale. Each Memorial Day my mother takes Chloe and I to get new t-shirts and shorts for camp. Since I will be a garden specialist and counselor this summer, it is likely that I will be wearing two shirts a day with the amount of work I’ll be doing. I love wearing “old lady” button up short sleeves and tank tops because they are lightweight and fun.
