In my family, I wrap all of the gifts except my own. I enjoy it and it is probably my favorite creative outlet. Although these gifts may look like they took a lot of thought and preparation, they didn’t. I simply used the materials I already had and went along as I liked. Below see how I wrapped my mother’s gift, then Chloe’s, then my dad’s. Happy holidays !
We also got her a pair of earrings by local artist, B.Spoke Jewelry. I wrapped them the same.
I made the little card out of scrap paper. I cut the edges on one side at an angle so it looked like a tag, and punched a hole to tie it to the gift. I couldn’t find a regular hole punch, so I used this little heart one.
Lastly, I fastened a wire butterfly to the top.
I wrapped the earrings in white tissue paper and put them in a sheer cellophane ziplock bag. I folded the bag in half and closed it with the glitter washi tape.
I wrapped the second part of her gift in butcher paper and tied it with butcher string
For her card, I cut off a section from a paint sample and punched a hole in it
Lastly, I slid the ziplock bag under the string and tied it all together
We got my dad a drone
I wrapped it in butcher paper and secured it with red/white striped washi tape
I wrapped a piece of canvas around the center and secured it with tape on the bottom
On top of that, I wrapped blue twine
I wrote the card on a small piece of paper and slid it into this cute “vintage-y” envelope.
Then I used my stamps to embellish the back of the envelope
Lastly, i slid the card under the twine
