HEY! I’m Gaby.
Thanks for visiting my website.
When people ask me: “How long have you known you have wanted to be in fashion?” My response is typically: “Since I came out of the womb.”
I started La Mode Du Jour in 2011 as a secret way for me to publish and record my daily outfits as a passionate and individualistic teenager in suburbia. I was hesitant to call it a “blog” because I didn’t understand why anyone would care about what I had to say, but once I started, I immediately fell in love with the whole process and quickly gained a local following. LMDJ is where I write about my undying love for styling, fashion & beauty, and life. As a natural-born leader, I love seeing how my style and positivity influences those around me.
I am a stylist because I love empowering my clients to feel confident and to help them express the proper message that they want to put out into the world.
The beauty and art that is fashion is inspiring daily, but I feel extremely guilty that I am forever-partial to an industry that is completely unsustainable on our beautiful planet. As a Fashion Business student at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, I have decided to minor in Sustainability and Ethics to change the industry for the better.
Even though I am currently a student and a stylist, and I love what I do, I know I can do more.
“Fun” Facts about me:
- I. Love. Bunnies.
- I practice yoga at least 3 times per week
- I am proficient in French
- Moving to NYC is the best thing that has happened to me!
- I love being healthy, but also love bread
- I love the word “love”
I am open for creative collaborations, but will only promote products that I truly like myself and think my readers would too. If you are interested in building a working relationship or just want to say “hi!”, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
